At SRS Performing Arts Academy, our Thursday Scene Study group has been working very diligently on a TV Series they have written and developed over the past 6 months. We are putting on a play to showcase some of the talent that will be in the series.

The project is called “The Ushers.” Ushers provide a path to enlightenment that brings awareness to current social issues our society is facing like mental illnesses, suicide, racism and poverty to name a few.

THE STORY

The head Ushers of Flatline that reside in the 4th divide are the last of their kind. They are developing a team from the Human race that is crucial to the salvation of Human Beings on planet Earth. An Usher helps to bring troubled souls in their last moments past the Pinealsation phase so they can move forward and find peace and redemption; they are the Human’s saving grace. Without this team of passionate, dedicated souls, the numbers that will be lost of the erstwhile spacefaring species between the divides,will be catastrophic, leaving planet Earth a failing orb in the Universe.

The play written and developed by the group is a fundraiser for their project. They have worked very hard on putting this together and are a bunch of dedicated, budding actors, writers, and filmmakers. The funding will be used to hire professional crew members to film a pitching pilot for their series that will film this spring.
